Cuvée Laurence is a rare, limited release from Domaine du Pégau, produced only in select vintages and aged extensively before release. The 2013 now shows beautiful tertiary complexity, offering collectors a mature, traditionally styled Châteauneuf-du-Pape from one of the appellation’s benchmark estates.
Deep garnet with brick reflections showing early maturity. The nose is complex and evolved, revealing ripe black cherry, dried plum and fig layered with garrigue herbs, leather, tobacco and sweet spice. On the palate it is full-bodied and powerful yet silky, with well-integrated tannins, rich southern fruit and a long, savoury, mature finish.
