2011 Clinet reveals a dense purple color as well as an abundance of black cherry, black currant, and blackberry fruit intermixed with licorice, incense, and a touch of camphor. Full-bodied, opulent, and fleshy with a substantial finish.
85% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc
“Since its spectacular change of style, Valandraud continues to surf on the concept of elegance. 2014 gave birth to a beautiful dense, balanced, fine wine, all in length, the tannins are finely extracted, (…). One of the best wines of the appellation.” – Figaro Wine
Dense and nearly dark in color.
The nose is complex. Still shut, it offers aromas of tobacco, black fruits, and morello cherries.
Long and full on the palate with aromas of morello cherries, blackcurrant, licorice
Gorgeous wine, full, and potent.
Melted tannins with a beautiful velvety texture. A powerful and lingering finish.
`The finest La Gaffelière I have ever tasted, the prodigious 2005 boasts a dense ruby/purple color in addition to a flamboyant bouquet of lead pencil shavings, creme de cassis, blackberries, smoked meats, incense, and Asian spice. Fabulously deep and full-bodied as well as ethereal and exceptionally elegant for its explosive richness and intensity, its lightness reflecting the vineyard’s sensational terroir. This succulent beauty appears to be approachable, but that belies some significant tannins.`
Villa REAUT’s ageing in Amphorae promotes the taste expression of the wine: roundness, volume, and coating but also aromatic complexity and spectacular length in the mouth on Cabernet Franc. Amphorae offers us a very expressive wine, which, without a woody note, presents the rich structure and finesse of the tannins of Cabernet Franc, and the purest expression of the fruit.
74% Cabernet Sauvignon
24% Merlot
2% Cabernet Franc
The sun has left its mark on this vintage, setting off aromas like sparks: all sorts of floral, balsamic and spicy smells, each more precise and expressive than the last. On the palate, the full, plump, dense body leaves us with an impression of tenderness, of generosity. A harmonious, complex and well-structured wine with a lingering, supple finish.

The 2017 Haut-Bailly is composed of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot. Very deep garnet-purple colored, it has a wonderfully spicy nose of cinnamon stick, cloves, anise, and fenugreek with a core of roses, warm blueberries, black forest cake, and black raspberries plus hints of underbrush and iron ore. Medium to full-bodied with firm, ripe, grainy tannins, it has oodles of freshness and great finesse, continuing bright and energetic on the long, minerally finish.
The 2010 Haut Bailly has consistently been a fantastic wine. It has a mixture of red and black fruit on the nose, wet stone, black olive, and a light marine influence. It is still backward compared to other vintages, but it has not relinquished one iota of its intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin. This is a voluminous Haut Bailly, one that is beginning to stretch its muscles, with a gentle grip in the mouth with a wonderful saline finish.

2012 Vintage
The nose is racy, well-managed and offers depth as well as a very fine and tightly wound grain. The wine benefits from being decanted. There are notes of crushed redcurrants, wild strawberries and a hint of salinity/iodine, combined with hints of red berries, balsamic, liquorice, tobacco and a very discreet hint of undergrowth. The palate is fresh, juicy and offers a nice racy minerality, suppleness, crunchiness, a nice gourmandise, freshness, a nice tannic frame, a fine concentration as well as a fine solar side. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fairly ripe raspberry, wild strawberry and, to a lesser extent, crushed cherry, combined with hints of pulpy blackcurrant, violet, tonka bean and blond tobacco, as well as a subtle hint of camphor, racy minerality, iodine, salinity and vanilla. Good length. Fine firmness on the finish.

The 2011 Canon is a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. It is undoubtedly one of the stars of the vintage, certainly one of the strongest offerings from Saint Emilion. The nose is bright, animated and playful with copious red cherries, fresh strawberry and dark plum aromas bursting from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin. Classic in style, endearing and mineral-driven, this is a superb wine from the estate.
