Chateau Laguiole Grand Cru Series Ebony Blue

This is the latest “2020 version” of the famed waiter-style corkscrew. This model now features a “forged bee”, in other words, the bee is now an integral part of the spring (the decorated top part) instead of being soldered.

The Grand Cru series was created to satisfy the need for a stylish and more durable wine opener. This model has the same characteristic as the classic but is more suitable for professional use (20/50 bottles per day). The reason for the added strength resides in the massif front top bolster, the part where the screw enters the handle.

Château Laguiole waiter-style corkscrew was created in 1993 by Master Sommeliers Guy Vialis and was the first true high-end waiter-style Laguiole corkscrew on the market. Since it debuted the Château Laguiole brand has been the favorite among most of the world's best sommeliers and, to this day is the most sold (and imitated) of all high-end waiter-style Laguiole corkscrew.

Handle Material: Partially stabilized and dyed beech wood. Each piece is unique; handle color can vary from a little blue to almost full blue.

All Château Laguiole wine openers are made of 12C27 stainless steel and weigh around 4 oz (113 grams). The overall length closed is 4.5 inches (11.40 cm).

The foil cutter is serrated and measures 1.5/8 inches ~ 4.06 cm).
