Château-Figeac Saint-Émilion Grand Cru AOC 2011
Château-Figeac has an unusual blend for Saint-Émilion, with equal parts Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in the 2011 vintage. This gives the wine both structure and freshness, together with the softer fruit and texture expected from the Right Bank.
A refined and mature Saint-Émilion with blackberry, blackcurrant, dark plum, graphite and gentle spice. The palate is rich and structured, with smooth tannins, fresh acidity and a long, elegant finish. Complex without feeling heavy, it is a serious Bordeaux for special dinners, mature-wine lovers and collectors.
Perfect with beef fillet, roast lamb, duck, game, mushroom dishes, truffle recipes, rich sauces and mature cheeses.
