Description
The Barbaresco “Asili” by Giacosa is a monumental wine, of great charm and elegance, aged for 18 months in large barrels. It presents fascinating aromas of withered flowers, red fruit and rhubarb. On the palate, it is elegant, and savoury, with excellent structure, impeccable tannicity and a balanced freshness.
Barbaresco Asili comes from pure Nebbiolo grapes from a single and historic vineyard in the municipality of the same name. A legendary cru that of Asili, compared by many to some Burgundian Grand Crus for its ability to give life to feminine wines of unparalleled elegance. The interpretation of the Bruno Giacosa winery has always been devoted to classicism, therefore after a careful manual selection of the grapes, the process continues in the cellar with fermentations that take place in cement tanks and macerations that last quite a long time, at least 3 weeks. The refinement takes place as per tradition in large oak barrels and lasts about 24 months.
