Castello di Farnetella Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG is a classic Tuscan red made mainly from Sangiovese with a small amount of Merlot. The vineyards lie in the gentle hills near Siena, where the warm climate and limestone-rich soils help produce fresh and expressive wines. A short period of oak ageing adds softness and balance without covering the fruit.
The nose opens with aromas of red cherry, wild berries, violet, sweet spice, and light herbal notes. The palate is smooth and lively, with soft tannins, fresh acidity, and a clean savoury finish. Notes of plum, black pepper, and subtle vanilla give extra depth while keeping the wine easy to enjoy. It pairs beautifully with pasta, pizza, grilled meats, roast chicken, or mature Pecorino cheese.
