“Colonia” is located nearly 420 meters above sea level, atop the Rancia hill, where the 2.6-hectare vineyard is surrounded by woodland. Made from a selection of the healthiest grapes and aged in new French oak barrels, 2020 is generous in its sun-kissed plum, petrichor, tobacco and espresso bean aromas. Cedar nuances invade the palate, where the fruit is generally understated. This wine is elegant with dusty earth, gravelly squeak and citric acidity. Grainy wood tannins on the finish.” Decanter
