Louis Latour AOC Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2022
The Latour family owns 11 hectares in the Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru appellation, making them the largest proprietors of this prestigious vineyard. The vines average 30 years of age and grow in limestone and stony soils with a southeast exposure. Yields are kept to around 40 hectolitres per hectare, and harvesting is done entirely by hand, delayed as long as possible to ensure full ripeness.
In the cellar, fermentation takes place in new oak barrels, followed by full malolactic fermentation. The wine is then aged for 8 to 10 months in medium-toasted oak barrels, a process that enhances both its complexity and elegance.
A grand white Burgundy with both power and elegance. Its pale golden hue sets the tone. The nose unfolds layers of toasty brioche and fresh florals like honeysuckle. On the palate, it’s rich yet lively, offering flavours of pear, buttery pastry, and a touch of acacia honey, all carried by a silky texture and a long, graceful finish. A striking Grand Cru that blends luxury with vibrant poise.
