Darroze Une Larme d'Armagnac

This Armagnac from Darroze is a luxurious blend of extremely well-aged Eaux-de-vie, the youngest of which is at least 50 years old. On the nose, a thick sweetness emerges first, but underneath, dark and rich flavours provide balance. Brown sugar and treacle toffee sit up against stewed fruit, spiced fruit loaf and freshly polished leather. The palate straddles the line between sweet and savoury, weaving from side to side as the flavours develop.
