The nose is initially rather shy but slowly opens to reveal new leather, forest floor, dark-skinned berry and pipe tobacco. Reflecting the aromas, the full-bodied, youthfully austere palate delivers ripe Marasca cherry, licorice and menthol set against tightly-knit, fine-grained tannins.
