Château Pegau Cuvée Lône Côtes-du-Rhône AOC
An excellent introduction to serious white Rhone, this has the richness and a touch of the waxy character we expect from these wines, but also plenty of candied lemons and grapefruit zest. I love the balance of creaminess and gentle tannins in the long, juicy and powerful finish. A cuvée of 40% clairette, 30% bourboulenc, 20% grenache blanc and 10% ugni blanc. Fermented and matured entirely in stainless steel. Drink or hold. - James Suckling 92/100
