The Floricica variety has a history that began in 1968, being created by Moldovan researchers at the National Institute for Viticulture and Winemaking.
The variety is born from the combination of the Riesling de Rhin and Datie de Senvalie SV 20365 varieties (in other sources Seyv Willar 20-365), being an aromatic variety, rich in malic acid.
