Description
Henri Giraud Perpetual Reserve PR 90-21 Brut is one of the house’s most ambitious Champagnes. Crafted from perpetual reserve wines dating back to 1990, this cuvée blends mainly Pinot Noir with Chardonnay from Grand Cru vineyards in Aÿ. The wine is partly aged in Argonne oak and spends a long time ageing on lees, creating remarkable depth, texture, and precision.
The nose is intense yet refined, with aromas of dried apple, orange zest, toasted brioche, honey, chalk, white flowers, and subtle spice. The palate is rich and layered, balanced by vibrant acidity and fine creamy bubbles. Notes of hazelnut, grapefruit, peach skin, saline minerality, and light smoke lead to an exceptionally long finish. This is a gastronomic Champagne that pairs beautifully with lobster, turbot, truffle dishes, roasted poultry, Comté cheese, or refined tasting menus.
