Description
A tribute to Gérard Bertrand’s father, who loved this plot of old Carignan vines, some of which are over 100 years old.
The name “Forge” comes from the land registry, on the plot of land, you can find all the elements necessary to forge: wood for the fire and water to cool the metal.
With a great fullness, the palate reveals powerful and elegant aromas, which evoke the red fruits “jammed”. It is a very great wine with a high ageing potential (20 years)
Dark, ripe cherry colour, explosive nose opens with notes of toast spices and cloves. With great sweetness, the very full palate reveals powerful, elegant aromas reminiscent of jammy red fruit. This is a great wine with soft tannins and spicy spicy length.
To be decanted and served at 18 °C with a rack of lamb, grilled meat, or Mediterranean dishes
