A true specialist in traditional duck foie gras from the Landes, the long history of the LAFITTE company has its source in MONTAUT, a small picturesque village in the Landes in the South West of France, backed by the hills of Chalosse to which the company is intimately linked. Founded in 1920 by Pierre LAFITTE, the original activity of the company is the sale of the game (partridges, woodcock, ortolans, hares, etc.) and Foies Gras to a clientele of traditional restaurateurs in the region. He died prematurely, and his son Léon took over the business and developed it with his wife Solange. In 1970, Léon LAFITTE and his children joined forces, the activity of the company increased in France and abroad. The family house for 4 generations, LAFITTE distributes its products in France to prestigious restaurateurs, to a network of retailers and delicatessens, and has 6 stores (Paris, Bordeaux, Dax, Mont de Marsan, Bayonne, and Montaut). Synonymous with excellence and authenticity, LAFITTE also exports its products to Europe and around the world.
